Nestled in the heart of the Sablon district in Brussels, our boutique workshop is naturally woven into the artistic fabric of the neighbourhood. Here, there is no rush. Every detail is designed to create a space that is both vibrant and tranquil, reflecting the nature of our work. Materials with a story

At Ludovic Elens, even the materials have something to tell. Some of the woods we use are over a hundred years old, passed down through generations of craftsmen. Buffalo horn, living and naturally comfortable, comes from India. The acetate is made in Italy, our nickel silver is pleasing to the eye as well as to the touch, and aluminium offers precise lightness. We also occasionally work with solid gold. Each material is chosen for its quality, its origin, and the way it lends itself to being shaped. Nothing is left to chance.

Our story

Founded in 2015 by Ludovic Elens, our atelier is a Maison d'Artisans specialising in the making of bespoke eyewear, as well as made-to-measure pieces through our Jazz Collection. In our workshop in the heart of Brussels, we design frames meticulously crafted by hand. At Ludovic Elens, each pair begins with a conversation – an exploration of the client’s needs, style, preferences and personality. Guided by this understanding, we transform the most suitable materials into eyewear as unique as those who will wear it.

Each frame embodies the balance at the heart of our Maison d'Artisans– between timeless craftsmanship and elegant contemporary aesthetics. Every detail – from angles and proportions to technical elements – is refined with care and precision. Rather than following trends or pursuing volume, at Ludovic Elens we focus on creating eyewear designed to be both beautiful and comfortable, for many years to come.
