Made-to-measure

Perfection takes time. Every Lunetier Ludovic frame is handcrafted in its Brussels workshop, for a truly bespoke experience.

The different stages of your made-to-measure glasses

First appointment = go to the shop

First appointment in the store

It all starts with a meeting. During this first appointment, we take the time to understand your needs and desires, so we can design a frame that truly suits you. It's also at this point that we take a series of precise measurements, essential for creating a frame that's perfectly adapted to your face.

Second appointment=meeting in the private lounge

Second meeting in the private room

At this second appointment, we present designs created especially for you, inspired by our first meeting. These designs, cut from cardboard, allow you to try them on directly in front of your face. It's also an opportunity to choose the materials, finishes and details that will make your frame unique.

Third appointment in the workshop

Third appointment in the workshop

During this third and final appointment, your frame is adjusted in our workshop in your presence, to guarantee a perfect fit: length of temples, nose opening, every detail is carefully refined. Once this stage is complete, all that's left to do is fit the appropriate lenses, do the final polishing, and your frame will be ready.

Materials

Wood

A pair of light and elegant wooden glasses is made of several layers of wood.

Customers discover, look, smell and touch the wood species they desire.

Metal

The metal is a robust and sober material which allows for atypical and pure glasses. The frames can be galvanized to obtain a gold, silver or pinkish colour. Metal can easily be combined with other materials such as horn and acetate.

The acetate

Cellulose acetate is a flexible and resistant material. This material catches the light, its rendering is soft and warm when polished. Eyewear craftsmen know how to make collages and mix several plates. The colour combinations are then infinite.

Gold

Gold

This material is known for its durability and longevity. Gold is soft and easily malleable to a fine and extremely refined finish. Ludovic works with a goldsmith with special knowledge.

The horn

Ludovic is fascinated by living matter. More difficult to work with, they are also often rarer and more precious. Buffalo horn is a noble material that lets the light in and this gives each frame an extraordinary shine. Each plate is unique in the world.
